Long before I came into this world, there was a renowned designer with the same first and last name as mine. She was a brand, but also deeply loved and respected. Whether I liked it or not, there was hardly an occasion when I appeared somewhere without hearing the question: Like that famous designer? That question became the shadow of my identity.

Knowing that I carried the name of someone who designs dresses for a first lady, and whose creations are worn by a Danish princess and the Belgian royal family, motivated me from an early age to design as well. To create something of my own, worthy of that name.

Many sketchbooks, much patience, and countless attempts went into that project — until drawings were replaced by lines in notebooks, written in words. In those lines, I found my path and my voice.

I never became a fashion designer. My creativity, however, was hidden in words, which became my tool. To this day, I design through words, ideas, and stories.

This is where that creativity lives today.
